Tonic issue is a 3D platforming video release by Ubisoft Montreal. The storyline follows the main hero, Ed, after a magic potion spills on the world and causes vegetables to become living ins. The release was received poorly; critics cite terrible controls, a wordy exposition, and sloppy graphics (on the N64 ver). The N64 ver of the release is a port of the computer ver with noticeable differences, such as a substantially various opening due to the lack of processing power required to render cutscenes, and various melody in certain territories. The release is often compared to other release published by Ubisoft named Rayman 2: The good Escape, because both are 3D platformers, both have main characters of a associated design (hands and feet without arms or legs), and both were released around the same time.
